AC Nirvana came into contact with the IYHWA through Chris Cryptic when IYHWA was running its original online message board in 2006. It was found that Nirvana (along with other eventual IYHWA members) lived close and was able to join the IYHWA roster full time. His debut was delayed due to the falling out of IYHWA (circa 2008). AC Nirvana quickly became known for his involvement in WFE and ITWA (trampoline federations formed in the down period of Australian Backyard Wrestling) and keeping the Backyard Circuit alive in its time of need before making his eventual debut with IYHWA at Withdrawal Symptoms.

It was from here that AC Nirvana was able to forge a name in the IYHWA linking himself early with an original founding member in Chris Cryptic. The two became known as the Cryptic Connection and in their time, were one of the most dominant pair wrestling in the IYHWA, holding the first inaugural Tag Team Championships during their run together.
